The Opportunity
Praytell is seeking a New York-based Senior Account Executive with 3-5 years of experience and a strong background in the beauty industry, ideally within a PR agency environment. This role will support the development and execution of integrated communications programs spanning earned, influencer and social while contributing to strategic planning and driving day-to-day campaign execution. The Senior Account Executive will play a key role in managing client projects and communications, developing creative campaign ideas and supporting integrated strategies that deliver measurable results. This person will lead core workstreams including media outreach, influencer partnerships and cross-channel campaign coordination while collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure seamless execution. The role also involves mentoring junior team members, contributing to reporting and performance insights and helping shape culturally relevant campaigns that strengthen brand visibility and business impact. The ideal candidate is proactive, strategic and highly organized with strong client service instincts, creative thinking and a deep understanding of the beauty landscape.
Key responsibilities include:
- Client Service

- Account & Team Management Support
- Brand & Business Expertise: Demonstrate a strong understanding of client goals across PR, influencer, and social disciplines, contributing actionable ideas to campaigns.
- Time & Budget Tracking: Oversee some parts of a campaign budgets and timelines, anticipating challenges and proactively addressing them.
- Workflow Management: Lead cross-functional workflows for integrated campaigns, ensuring seamless execution and delivery.
- Staffing: Ensure all time entered accurately via Harvest and flag if going under or over hours.
- Employee Development: Lead by example, offering mentorship and coaching across junior levels while contributing to performance evaluations.
- Effective Communication
- Client Communication (Emails/Status Calls): Serve as a point of contact for clients on key projects, confidently managing discussions during status calls and meetings.
- Written Materials: Ensure all written deliverables, such as media materials and campaign updates, are polished and meet client expectations.
- Deck Development: Contribute to the creation of decks, providing strategic input and ensuring alignment with client objectives.
- Presentation Skills: Lead presentations for mid-level campaigns or projects, delivering clear, engaging, and actionable insights.
- Strategic Planning
- Channel Audits (Earned, Social, Influencer): Lead channel audits, synthesizing data into comprehensive insights and presenting findings to clients.
- Target Audience Analysis (Earned, Social, Influencer): Translate audience insights into tailored pitches, channel approaches, etc. considering category nuances and client goals.
- Channel Fluency & Strategies (Earned, Influencer, Social): Propose integrated strategies leveraging earned, influencer, and social channels, ensuring alignment with KPIs.
- Creative Thinking
- Newsjacking/Trend-to-Earned Ideas: Lead the development of timely, trend-based concepts for earned, influencer, and social campaigns, ensuring feasibility.
- Earned Media: Conceptualize and pitch high-impact seasonal or evergreen ideas, including standout media events or mailers.
- Influencer or Talent Partnerships: Drive ideation for innovative partnerships with influencers or talent that enhance client visibility and engagement.
- Social Media: Propose creative, integrated social campaign ideas, leveraging platform-specific trends.
- Brand Campaign Concepts: Brainstorm and refine big-picture concepts that align with client strategies and objectives.
- Execution:
- Earned Media: Conduct media outreach for key campaigns, secure coverage, and build ongoing relationships with priority media contacts. Drive media strategy and pitch angle development.
- Influencer: Engage more deeply in influencer campaigns including contracting, ensuring alignment with campaign objectives and client goals.
- Social Media: Coordinate with creatives and strategists to develop integrated social campaigns, leveraging insights from social listening.
- KPI, Merchandising & Reporting
- Data Analysis & Interpretation: Interpret campaign data to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Strategic Recommendations: Translate data into impactful recommendations, supporting client decision-making.
- Stakeholder Communication: Lead portions of reporting calls, effectively communicating key metrics and insights.
- Goal Alignment & Performance Metrics: Ensure campaign strategies align with KPIs, tracking progress against benchmarks.

- Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 (This range reflects the minimum and maximum compensation. We typically offer salaries within the 25th to 75th percentiles and cannot exceed the listed maximum. Final offers depend on experience, skills and qualifications.)
