Role Description

Geotab is seeking a Lead Product Marketing Manager who will own and lead key components of GTM strategy for a critical product line, platform, or vertical initiative. The projects will vary in scope, complexity, and affected business area.

As a Lead Product Marketing Manager , your key area of responsibility will be creating and refining product positioning, messaging, and launch strategy while driving market understanding through competitive intelligence and customer insights. You will need to work closely with Geotab’s Product, Engineering, Design, Data, Sales, and Business Development teams, as well as communicate with external vendors and partners.

To be successful in this role you will be a self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, and have the ability to quickly understand complex, technical concepts. In addition, the successful candidate will have strong analytical and project management skills with an ability to identify needs, develop effective solutions, and manage projects through completion. The successful candidate will also be able to manage multiple timelines and contrasting priorities to ensure timely results.

What you'll do:

  • Strategic Go-to-Market (GTM) Leadership: Own key components of GTM strategy for the product line, including market analysis, product positioning, messaging, influencing pricing, and orchestrating impactful launches.
  • Market Intelligence & Customer Feedback Loop: Serve as the subject matter expert on our markets and buyers by synthesizing competitive intelligence and customer insights.
  • Positioning, Messaging & Thought Leadership: Develop and refine foundational messaging frameworks, powerful product positioning, and compelling value propositions.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment & Leadership: Unify and align Sales, Product, Marketing, and Business Development teams through proactive leadership in GTM planning and launch plans.
  • Sales & Partner Enablement: Design and deploy internal GTM onboarding paths, training materials, and partner-specific messaging frameworks.
  • Product Adoption & Customer Education: Drive product adoption by creating and scaling customer-facing content, documentation, and educational materials.
  • Mentorship & Functional Excellence: Act as a mentor and coach to junior team members, elevating the quality and impact of the marketing function.
  • Performance Measurement & Fiscal Oversight: Define key performance indicators for GTM success and manage the associated marketing budget and resources.
  • Category Design & Strategic Narrative: Evolve and own the product narrative, positioning the platform as the source of truth for infrastructure and economic planning.

Qualifications

  • 8 - 10 years of experience in B2B SaaS product marketing, preferably in data analytics, transportation technology, smart cities, or geospatial intelligence (GIS).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to own and execute complex go-to-market strategies and cross-functional launches.
  • Exceptional ability to distill complex, highly technical data science and API concepts into simple, executive-ready ROI narratives.
  • Highly skilled in market research, in-depth competitive analysis, and translating data into actionable strategies and buyer personas.
  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus and drive alignment across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with B2B SaaS and Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) business models.
