Role Description

We're looking for a sharp, high-agency HR Generalist to join Invoca's People Team. This role is ideal for someone a few years into their HR career who is ready to take full ownership of some programs — and be a trusted, roll-up-your-sleeves partner on others. You'll own things like new hire onboarding, immigration coordination, and our employee survey program end to end, while also playing a key support role on higher-stakes, company-wide initiatives like benefits open enrollment, performance cycles, and compensation programs alongside our HRBPs and Sr. Manager of People Operations.

What You'll Do

  • Onboarding & Offboarding
    • Own the end-to-end new hire onboarding experience, ensuring every new hire feels welcome and is set up for success.
    • Hold managers accountable for having a documented onboarding plan or 30/60/90 day plan in place for every new hire.
    • Conduct exit interviews and leverage exit data themes and trends to make actionable recommendations.
    • Manage employment verifications, unemployment claim responses, and/or documentation gathering for legal situations.
  • Immigration
    • Coordinate immigration cases for sponsored employees, including H-1B transfers, extensions, and other visa processes.
  • Employee Experience
    • Plan and execute departmental onsites and smaller team gatherings.
    • Set up and manage event travel budgets in Navan.
    • Track employee enrollment in training programs and monitor L&D budget spend.
  • HR Support
    • Own the employee survey program including design, delivery, data analysis, and partnering with HRBPs.
    • Serve as a first point of contact for day-to-day employee questions, issues, or concerns.
    • Support company-wide performance management processes.
    • Help maintain and update compensation and equity bands in relevant systems.
  • People Operations Coverage
    • Support Sr. Manager of People Operations and HRBPs to execute Annual Benefits Open Enrollment.
    • Support leave of absence administration and workers' comp reporting.
    • Assist with HR compliance tasks including required training tracking and labor law postings.
    • Provide backup support and coverage for HRIS (Paylocity) changes.
    • Provide backup support and coverage for international payroll and onboarding for global employees.
  • Recruiting Support
    • Coordinate interview scheduling across candidates, hiring managers, and interviewers.
    • Serve as a point of contact for candidates during the scheduling process.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in HR, People Operations, or a related role within a technology company.
  • BA/BS degree or greater.
  • Exposure to onboarding/offboarding workflows, HRIS, performance management, and HR compliance concepts.
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms; hands-on experience with Paylocity is a strong plus.
  • Experience with event planning or travel coordination a plus; familiarity with Navan is a bonus.
  • Proven ability to leverage data analysis and trends to make actionable recommendations.
  • Discretion and maturity when handling confidential employee information.

Requirements

  • Ownership and urgency in completing tasks.
  • Business-minded approach to HR processes.
  • Curiosity and critical thinking skills.
  • Attention to detail in all aspects of work.
  • Clear and caring communication skills.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and systems.
  • Ability to connect with people empathetically.

Benefits

  • Flexible Time Off – Encouraging a healthy work-life balance.
  • Paid Holidays – 16 U.S. paid holidays including a winter break.
  • Health Benefits – Medical, dental, and vision coverage with multiple plan options.

  • Retirement – 401(k) plan through Fidelity with a company match of up to 4%.
  • Stock Options – All employees are invited to share in Invoca’s success.
  • Mental Health Program – Well-being support available through SpringHealth.
  • Paid Family Leave – Up to 12 weeks of 100% paid leave for baby bonding and family care.
  • Paid Medical Leave – Up to 12 weeks of 100% paid leave for childbirth and medical needs.
  • InVacation – Bonus after 7 years of service.
