Role Description

Exiger is seeking a Senior Program Director to lead and integrate a complex, high-consequence portfolio of significant scale supporting Department of War strategic priorities at the intersection of supply chain resilience, mission assurance, and advanced technology. This role is responsible for overseeing program execution, serving as the senior interface with government stakeholders, and ensuring analytical insights are translated into decision-grade guidance and executable outcomes.

Reporting to senior Exiger leadership, this leader will own day to day direction of a mission critical portfolio, bringing the cadence and accountability expected in major defense programs. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams and coordinate closely with product and engineering to turn mission needs into fieldable capabilities, decision grade assessments, and measurable outcomes that support sustainment and modernization priorities. This is a high visibility role built for a senior operator and program leader who is credible with Flag and SES stakeholders, fluent in the language of requirements and execution, and comfortable making decisions at the strategic operational seam where technical rigor, operational realism, and speed matter.

What You'll Do:

  • Demonstrate measurable mission and readiness impact for the customer by defining success metrics, tracking outcomes, and regularly communicating value in terms of decision speed, risk reduction, and executed mitigations.
  • Serve as the senior program lead accountable for successful execution of complex, mission-critical programs supporting defense and national security customers.
  • Act as the primary senior interface with government stakeholders, including acquisition, sustainment, logistics, and operational leaders at Department and Service headquarters levels.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams spanning delivery, engineering, analytics, and product to ensure alignment between customer objectives and execution.
  • Translate analytical outputs and platform insights into decision-grade briefings, read-aheads, and courses of action, clearly articulating tradeoffs, risks, timelines, and authorities.
  • Oversee program performance across scope, schedule, risk, and resource utilization, ensuring outcomes are technically feasible, operationally realistic, and aligned with government authorities.
  • Guide mitigation strategy design and validation across defense sustainment and modernization supply chains, incorporating industrial base constraints and mission assurance considerations.
  • Partner with Forward Deployed Engineers and product teams to ensure automated and semi-automated SCRM workflows support real-world execution needs.
  • Identify emerging risks, execution challenges, and growth opportunities, proactively shaping program direction and stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Mentor and develop program leadership and delivery teams, reinforcing a culture of accountability, clarity, and mission focus.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of progressive experience leading complex defense, national security, industrial base, sustainment, or mission assurance programs.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging senior civilian and uniformed leaders within the Department of Defense, Military Departments, or joint organizations.
  • Proven ability to operate as a trusted senior advisor, translating complex technical and analytical findings into executable decisions in high-consequence environments.
  • Experience managing large, multi-stakeholder programs involving competing priorities, ambiguous requirements, and evolving risk landscapes.
  • Strong understanding of defense acquisition, sustainment, and operational authorities across Army, Navy, Air Force, and joint frameworks.
  • Comfort partnering with technical teams (engineering, data science, analytics) to guide execution, validate outputs, and align solutions to mission needs.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to brief executives clearly, concisely, and confidently.
  • Active U.S. Government security clearance at the Secret level or higher, with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI.

Benefits

  • High-performance culture rooted in accountability, collaboration, and a shared commitment to excellence.
  • Discretionary Time Off for all employees, with no maximum limits on time off.
  • Industry leading health, vision, and dental benefits.
  • Competitive compensation package.
  • 16 weeks of fully paid parental leave.
  • Flexible, hybrid approach to working from home and in the office where applicable.
  • Focus on wellness and employee health through stipends and dedicated wellness programming.
  • Purposeful career development programs with reimbursement provided for educational certifications.
