Role Description

The HR Generalist at Granicus is the primary HR partner for employees and people managers in India, responsible for delivering a consistent and positive employee experience across the entire employee lifecycle. This role serves as the first point of contact for all HR-related queries, employee relations, and HR operations.

The HR Generalist plays a critical role in ensuring employees feel welcomed, supported, heard, and treated fairly, while enabling managers to lead effectively and in compliance with company policies and local regulations.

A key focus of this role is to drive employee engagement and culture through:

  • Onboarding
  • Offboarding
  • Communication
  • Celebrating employee events
  • Recognition activities
  • HR engagement programs

All while maintaining the highest standards of integrity, confidentiality, data accuracy, and compliance.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as an HR Generalist
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage confidently with employees and managers at all levels
  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on data accuracy and documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters with integrity and discretion
  • Strong communication skills — clear, empathetic, and professional (written and verbal)
  • Comfortable working with HR systems and MS Office, including reporting and presentations
  • Sound judgment, practical problem-solving ability, and a people-first mindset

Requirements

  • Own the employee experience lifecycle including onboarding, induction, ongoing support, and offboarding
  • Lead new joiner welcoming and HR induction programs, covering company overview, HR policies, benefits, and employee resources
  • Act as the first point of contact for all HR queries, ensuring timely, accurate, and empathetic responses to employees and managers
  • Manage end-to-end offboarding, including exit documentation, experience letters, full & final coordination, and conducting exit interviews with actionable insights
  • Support investigations related to workplace conduct, grievances, or policy concerns, maintaining confidentiality and objectivity
  • Support implementation and ongoing administration of HR policies & benefits, compliance requirements (e.g., maternity benefits, leave policies)
  • Ensure high level of data accuracy across employee records, reports, letters, and HR documentation
  • Maintain standardized HR templates, letters, and employee records, ensuring consistency and audit readiness
  • Support and drive adoption of HRMIS platforms, ensuring data integrity, process alignment, and user readiness
  • Partner with HRIS/global teams to maintain accurate people data and reporting across HR programs
  • Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives, including festive celebrations, cultural events, recognition activities, and team events (onsite/offsite)
  • Partner with leadership to strengthen employee connection, morale, and retention through meaningful engagement efforts
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with employees, managers, and HR partners
  • Provide high-quality HR customer service, ensuring HR is seen as approachable, responsive, and value driven

Job Requirements
