A Day in the Life of theThe Director of Product & PMO is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the organization’s product strategy, roadmap execution, and project governance for data, mobile, voice, and ancillary products. This role ensures alignment between product innovation, business objectives, disciplined project delivery, and the successful launch of new services and operational initiatives. The role combines product vision, portfolio prioritization, operational rigor, and cross-functional leadership to drive predictable execution, scalable processes, and measurable business impact.
Define and execute the long-term product vision and roadmap aligned with company strategy.
Lead product portfolio management, including prioritization, resource allocation, and investment decisions.
Partner with executive leadership to translate strategic objectives into product initiatives.
Oversee product lifecycle management from concept through launch and optimization.
Establish success metrics tied to revenue growth, customer adoption, retention, and market expansion.
Drive cross-functional collaboration between IT, Network, Marketing, Sales, Field, Care, and Operations
Lead and mentor team and direct reports
Ensure strong voice-of-customer integration into roadmap decisions.
Establish and maintain a high-performing Project Management Office (PMO).
Develop portfolio governance frameworks, stage gates, and standardized delivery processes.
Oversee enterprise-level project planning, execution, and reporting.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Monitor risk management, dependency tracking, and resource capacity planning.
Drive continuous improvement in project execution and product delivery.
Ensure alignment between strategic initiatives and execution capacity.
Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and results.
Actively support, promote, and advance all aspects of Astound’s Inclusion and Belonging work, recognizing it as a business priority, including creating a work environment where all employees feel valued, respected, heard, and empowered.

What You Bring to the Table:
7+ years in telecom
Strong program management and PMO governance experience
Experience building and maturing PMO governance models
Strong executive communication and leadership skills
Strong strategic and analytical thinking
Solid understanding of product lifecycle management
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in complex environments
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor's degree preferred. Major in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related fields.

Base Compensation: The base compensation range for this position is $132,000 - $198,000 plus opportunities for benefits. The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, relevant skills, experience, and capabilities.
