Job Description
About Lunar Solar Group:
Lunar Solar Group is a high-impact advertising agency that collaborates with consumer-focused brands to identify growth opportunities and implement disruptive marketing strategies. We combine digital marketing expertise and a suite of creative services to help brands scale. As a globally recognized growth consultancy, technology studio, and full-service digital marketing agency, we solve complex growth challenges and build brands through proprietary technology, innovative strategy, channel expertise, and flawless execution. Lunar has built a track record of excellence across various verticals, including durable goods, consumer packaged goods, and SaaS. While highlighting potential growth opportunities for clients, Lunar itself continues to expand rapidly.
Who We Are Looking For:
We’re looking for a strategic, growth-minded digital marketing leader who thrives at the intersection of creative, media, and analytics. You are both a relationship builder and a media strategist — someone who can guide clients with confidence, inspire cross-functional teams, and turn insights into measurable business impact. You bring a deep understanding of full-funnel e-commerce strategy and a passion for driving results through collaboration, innovation, and data. You don’t just try to hit KPIs – you translate client’s business goals into actionable outcomes that ultimately drive growth.
Job Summary:
The Client Strategy Director serves as the integrated strategic lead and primary client partner across their client book of business. This role is responsible for driving growth through data-driven, full-funnel strategies that connect media, creative, and conversion optimization. As a member of the Client Strategy team, you will own the client relationships and lead internal cross-functional teams to drive strategic growth.
This role specifically will be focused on our top tier CPG DTC brands, so we’re looking for someone with recent experience driving DTC/ecommerce growth strategy. This book of business will also include a pet supply brand, so experience with pet brands will make you stand out!
Key Responsibilities:
Client Strategy Leadership
Serve as the senior strategic lead and relationship owner for key clients, driving measurable growth and long-term partnership success.
Guide client strategy as a thought partner — not an order taker — and lead with authority in conversations with CEOs, CMOs, and founders.
Build and execute full-funnel growth plans across acquisition, conversion, and retention.
Translate insights into actionable strategies that connect media, creative, landing page optimization, and lifecycle marketing.
Stay ahead of emerging e-commerce and marketing innovations to keep clients on the leading edge of performance.
Align and influence cross-functional teams across Paid Media, Creative, Web, and CRM to deliver cohesive, full-funnel strategies.
Client Communication & Relationship Management
Navigate complex client dynamics with professionalism and composure, including escalations, challenging asks, and contract discussions.
Build trust through clear communication, strategic alignment, and accountability.
Lead business reviews that deliver meaningful insights, performance trends, and forward-looking growth strategies.
Identify and activate upsell and cross-sell opportunities that expand client impact and strengthen partnerships.
Data-Driven Optimization & Reporting
Lead analytics, attribution, and performance measurement to connect marketing outcomes to business goals.
Own performance insights and reporting frameworks that ensure data drives decision-making and strategic optimization.
Maintain and refine internal dashboards for tracking creative effectiveness, strategic insights, and campaign performance.
Develop agency-wide performance reports, highlighting industry trends and growth opportunities.
Skills & Qualifications:
This role will be focused on leading strategy for CPG/DTC ecommerce focused accounts – recent experience driving strategy for a CPG DTC brand is a must!
Experience working on pet focused DTC brands is a nice to have.
5+ years of experience in digital marketing, performance media, or media strategy, ideally within an agency or e-commerce environment. In-platform management experience is preferred but not required.
Proven ability to lead integrated strategies across paid media channels, creative, and lifecycle marketing.
Strong analytical mindset with experience in funnel optimization, attribution modeling, and data storytelling.
Deep understanding of key e-commerce metrics (CAC, LTV, AOV, ROAS) and how they ladder up to business growth.
Exceptional communicator with the ability to simplify complexity and influence senior stakeholders.
Skilled at managing high-level client relationships and guiding executive conversations with confidence.
Experienced in leading cross-functional teams and aligning diverse disciplines toward shared goals.
Proactive, organized, and adaptable — thrives in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
A true media nerd – passionate about innovation, technology, and staying ahead of digital commerce and marketing trends.
Benefits:
Competitive salary.
Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
Flexible work hours and remote work options.
Professional development and training opportunities.
Inclusive and supportive work environment that values creativity and innovation.
