Job Title: Director of Professional Services  

Location: Remote in the US or Canada (EST or CST required) 

Contract: Permanent / Full-Time

Position Overview: 

The Director of Professional Services will lead and oversee our professional services division's strategic direction and operational excellence. This role drives business growth, enhances service delivery, and fosters strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing high-performing teams.  

Key Responsibilities: 

 

Strategic Leadership & Business Growth  

  • Operated within, or managed directly, a P&L greater than $20M  
  • Execute a strategic vision for professional services, aligning with overall business goals.  
  • Identify opportunities to expand service offerings, drive revenue growth, and improve operational efficiency.  
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and general manager to shape long-term strategic initiatives for the flooring division.  
  • Participate in client projects or company events, that will require traveling to other locations.   

Service Delivery & Operational Excellence  

  • Oversee end-to-end project execution, ensuring high-quality service delivery, customer satisfaction, and cost-effectiveness.  
  • Implement best practices, process improvements, and innovative solutions to enhance service efficiency.  
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and optimize team performance.  

Client & Stakeholder Management  

  • Build strong relationships with key clients, partners, and industry leaders.  
  • Act as the primary point of contact for escalations, ensuring prompt resolution of issues and continuous improvement.  
  • Partner with sales, marketing, and product teams to drive service adoption.  

Team Leadership & Development  

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.  
  • Provide coaching, training, and career development opportunities to team members.  
  • Ensure proper resource allocation, scheduling, and team capacity planning to meet project demands.  

Financial Management & Reporting  

  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for the professional services division.  
  • Ensure profitability and financial sustainability by optimizing pricing strategies and cost structures.  
  • Provide regular reports and insights to executive leadership on financial and operational performance.  

  

Qualifications & Experience:  

  • 10+ years of experience in professional services, operations, or leadership roles 
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen with the ability to drive growth and innovation.  
  • Proven ability to lead large teams and a fast-paced environment.  
  • Excellent client relationship management skills with a strong partnership track record.  
  • Financial management experience, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L oversight.  
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.  
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent in related field experience.

In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, we are committed to providing clear and equitable compensation information. For this remote position, the expected salary range is $175,000 USD, depending on location, experience, and qualifications. This role may also be eligible for additional compensation such as bonuses, commissions, or equity, as well as a comprehensive benefits package. Candidates applying from jurisdictions with specific pay disclosure requirements (e.g., California, Colorado, New York, Washington, Illinois, British Columbia) will receive location-specific compensation details in compliance with local laws.
