Role Description
Chase Corporation is seeking a Sales Manager to support the Industrial Tapes business unit. Reporting to the Director of Industrial Sales, the Sales Manager represents the company in the marketplace and is responsible for driving profitable growth within an assigned territory, region, account base, or market segment. This remote role focuses on expanding market share, strengthening relationships with existing customers, and developing new business opportunities. The role requires strong commercial acumen, technical understanding, and relationship-building capabilities. Prior experience in the wire and cable industry is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities

Sales Growth & Business Development:
- Drive profitable revenue growth and expand market share within the assigned territory or market segment.
- Identify and develop new customer relationships while expanding opportunities with existing accounts.
- Secure product approvals and gain product specifications with customers.
- Maintain and grow a robust sales pipeline and actively manage opportunities in Salesforce CRM.

Customer & Market Engagement:
- Communicate regularly with customers and channel partners to address business needs, contract matters, technical questions, and new opportunities.
- Develop strong relationships across customer organizations beyond purchasing, including engineering, operations, and leadership stakeholders.
- Represent Chase at industry functions, seminars, conferences, and customer events.

Commercial Strategy & Negotiation:
- Negotiate commercial terms with customers to maximize profitability while adhering to company pricing guidelines.
- Assist in developing contracts and proposals while understanding competitive dynamics affecting customer decisions.
- Provide market feedback, customer insights, and competitive intelligence to leadership.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal teams to understand customer requirements and align Chase capabilities with customer needs.
- Communicate customer specifications, product requirements, and application challenges to internal teams.
- Support the development of new product opportunities and solutions based on customer feedback.

Forecasting & Marketing Support:
- Provide input to the Sales Director related to forecasting, budgeting, and sales planning.
- Support marketing initiatives including presentations, technical materials, blogs, videos, and white papers.
Qualifications
- Experience in industrial tapes, wire & cable, or related industrial materials markets strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to drive sales growth and develop new business opportunities.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving ability, flexibility, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, with strong Excel skills preferred.
- Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
- Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent industry experience.
