As a Product Researcher on the Product Research team, you will support the development of user-centered products by conducting qualitative and mixed-methods research. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and data analysts to uncover user needs, validate product concepts, and inform design decisions.
Your research will help ensure that products are intuitive, effective, and aligned with user expectations. You will contribute to the full product lifecycle, from discovery to evaluation, and help shape the future of our product portfolio.
To support this mission, OSIT has embarked on a multi-year modernization journey, within which the Software Engineer will play a key role: working within our legacy application as we update it to a cloud-native platform which follows modern design standards.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
To deliver on the organization's responsibility, the Product Researcher position conducts the following:
- Conduct user interviews, usability testing, surveys, and field studies to gather insights
- Synthesize research findings into actionable recommendations for product teams
- Collaborate with data analysts to integrate qualitative and quantitative insights
- Support product discovery and ideation through user-centered research
- Create personas, journey maps, and other research artifacts
- Advocate for the user in product discussions and design reviews
- Assist in prioritizing research needs based on product goals and timelines
- Stay current with UX research methods and tools
- Participate in training to enhance research and communication skills

Required Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or GED equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in user experience research or product research
- Experience conducting interviews, usability tests, and surveys
- Experience with research tools and platforms
- U.S. Citizen
- If you are offered this position, you will be required to provide extensive personal information to obtain and maintain a suitability or determination of eligibility for a Confidential/Secret or Top Secret security clearance as a condition of your employment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 1+ years of experience leveraging AI tools in the software development (or product) lifecycle in order to improve quality and efficiency
- Experience in healthcare or government sectors
- Knowledge of design thinking and product development lifecycle
- Solid leadership and communication skills

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
