Job Description

Voodoo Ranger is looking for a strategic, creatively driven Community Manager to grow and engage with our interest-driven communities. This role is not focused on social moderation or calendar posting, it focuses on injecting original, disruptive creative ideas that push the Voodoo Ranger team beyond optimization and into breakthrough execution

You’ll work on the development and execution of Voodoo Ranger’s community strategy, prioritizing hands-on, in-house creative activation and test-and-learn pilots, pressuring testing ideas with the community.

Essential Duties:

Create On-Brand Experiences

  • Act as a creative catalyst, bringing forward original ideas and advancing them through a fast, test-and-learn approach.

  • Lead nimble, in-house creative execution, launching low-lift initiatives independently and partnering with agencies for larger-scale programs as needed.

  • Bring a strong creative eye, ensuring content, events, and community touchpoints are visually compelling, on-brand, and executed with intention.

  • Plan and support events and experiential activations in collaboration with internal teams and external partners to create memorable fan experiences.

  • Collaborate with Sales on local marketing plans that increase awareness, household penetration, and rate of sale.

Community and Creator Strategy

  • Connect national brand initiatives to local communities and passion areas relevant to our target audience (art, gaming, etc.)

  • Develop and lead social-first community strategies that drive cultural relevance, sustained engagement, and growth across channels.

  • Manage the community and social ecosystem execution, ensuring consistent brand representation across platforms, creators, and grassroots efforts.

  • Execute activation and amplification plans for national initiatives to drive engagement, participation, and sales support.

  • Identify, contract, and manage creator and brand partnerships.

  • Develop programs that support brand and volume goals; utilize brand data and analytics as well as feed local intel and activation recommendations for planning and product launches/support

Cultural and Social Fluency

  • Stay deeply plugged into social and cultural trends among our target audience and act as an internal expert on online communities.

  • Provide strategic guidance and creative direction to agency produced social content (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Discord).

Measurement and Insights

  • Track and analyze performance across social, community, and event programs to inform optimization and future planning.

  • Identify market trends, challenges, and opportunities to support strategic decision-making within communities.

  • Support additional projects and duties as assigned.

Education/ Experience/Skills:

  • 2-3 years Trade Marketing or Regional Marketing experience on a large Beer or Spirits brand with demonstrated success growing highly engaged communities (beer, wine, spirits, or adjacent lifestyle brands preferred).

  • Proven ability to drive community growth through creative, culturally relevant strategies, not just publishing frequency.

  • Strong creative instincts for tone, voice, and authentic participation in online culture.

  • Hands on experience managing influencers and creators with measurable results.

  • Excellent communication skills and comfort collaborating cross functionally.

  • Solid knowledge of beer and brewing industry; familiar with NBB products and culture

  • Public speaking skills
