• Manages Distribution Centers’ carrier networks in an assigned divisional territory • Responsibilities include but are not limited to maintaining outbound shipments, managing the carrier RFP process, maintaining routing systems, maintaining carrier / DC relationships • Manage relationships with FTL (full Truckload), LTL (less than truckload) carriers and AmerisourceBergen business units • Responsible for system management of all transportation applications • Analyzes and reviews routes to optimize opportunities to reduce cost and identify delivery opportunities • Responsible for improving carrier delivery quality and ensuring metrics compliance • Responsible for pulling data from various sources such as TMS, PkMS, SAP, AS400 and/or others • Participate in carrier interviews providing guidance for negotiation and selection to the Transportation Director and/or Director of Operations • Compile and execute carrier RFP’s for FTL, LTL, Fleet and other modes as identified • Responsible for contracts and amendment processes • Responsible for providing and analyzing Transportation reports • Responsible for identifying root cause and addressing with carrier to correct unfavorable trends • Responsible for quarterly business reviews providing key metric data to the appropriate business partners • Owner of weekly pre bill / TMS invoice process and submission of electronic file for invoicing • Responsible for system routing changes which includes delivery times, rating groups, signature groups • Responsible for resolving escalating delivery issues that have been identified by customer care and other resources • Complies with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules and regulations • Performs related duties as assigned • Responsible for managing transportation specialists in remote role
