Job Description
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of executive-level major giving experience with individual and foundation funders.
- Proven track record in non-profit fundraising from diverse sources.
- Demonstrated experience with the grant seeking process and developing strategic proposals.
- Experience creating a culture of staff who utilize effective operational and data systems.
- Proven expertise overseeing and scaling major gift fundraising infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage processes and projects for multiple priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to lead diverse teams.
- Outstanding verbal and written communications skills.
- Demonstrated flexibility, self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and cultural competence.
- A passion for the Sierra Club’s mission and a commitment to environmental and social justice.
- Experience at a large national federated nonprofit is a plus.
- Deep experience in conservation and climate/energy fundraising preferred.
- A record of successful grant awards from major foundations and individuals preferred.
- Demonstrated experience successfully recruiting, leading, and retaining experienced fundraising staff.
Benefits
- Salary range: $240,000 - $260,000 annually.
