Carpenter Technology Corporation is a leading producer and distributor of premium specialty alloys, including titanium alloys, nickel and cobalt based superalloys, stainless steels, alloy steels and tool steels.  Carpenter Technology’s high-performance materials and advanced process solutions are an integral part of critical applications used within the aerospace, transportation, medical and energy markets, among other markets.  Building on its history of innovation, Carpenter Technology’s wrought and powder technology capabilities support a range of next-generation products and manufacturing techniques, including novel magnetic materials and additive manufacturing. This is a remote position candidate must live on the West Coast, USA (preferably in the Bay Area area) PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE SPECIAL ACCOUNTS MANAGER Manages an existing sustained customer base with a minimum sustained territory size of $15 million up to $30 million. Territory will include transactional and strategic accounts with a potential of platinum accounts. Outside sales rep for the entire Carpenter product portfolio in the geographic territory of Northern CA, CO, UT, NV, AZ, NM and Southern CA. Generates a minimum of 10% new profitable sales each fiscal year. Spends up to 50% of time focusing on growth through new & existing customers via new and existing products. Manages time and territory in conjunction with manager on a monthly basis. Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned. REQUIRED FOR THE SPECIAL ACCOUNTS MANAGER Four-year college degree, preferably in Marketing or a related discipline. 8-10 years of sales/relationship management experience. PREFERRED FOR THE SPECIAL ACCOUNTS MANAGER Problem Solving: Solves moderately complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions. Customer Focus: Interprets customer needs, assesses requirements and identifies solutions to non-standard requests.
