Role Description

The Contract Specialist is an exciting opportunity at MultiCare, offering a role where your in-depth knowledge and expertise of assigned contracts will support internal education and operational compliance with contract terms. From researching issues, recommending resolutions and working across stakeholders, you will ensure effective contract processes and procedures across our health care system.

Responsibilities

  • You will collect and assimilate payer contract information to support contract implementation, operations, and customer service functions.
  • You will develop and maintain contract summaries to support internal education and operational compliance with contract terms.
  • You will assist in researching issues and recommend resolutions to escalated claim payment, reimbursement, and operations issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration.
  • 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years of related experience and/or training.
  • Experience with commercial payers contracts, payment variance, policies and contract methodologies.

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. The pay scale is $66,997.00 - $96,408.00 USD, influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
