Our market-leading payment products help truckers save thousands of dollars on fuel (their #1 business expense), while providing our fuel stop partners with access to new, hard-to-reach customers. As a Sr. Strategic Operations Manager, you will ensure that Mudflap’s operations are running efficiently, with world class customer experiences, and develop strategies for Mudflap’s future products. The Sr. Strategic Operations Manager is a cross-functional leader that leads different teams and products at Mudflap. They are a versatile operations generalist who can dive into their own analysis to drive business insights, optimize non-product functions, and drive forward new product offerings and/or growth and position others for success with a program management approach.

Preference for Bay Area or Austin, Open to Remote
We value in-person connection and have offices in both Palo Alto and Austin. While we prefer candidates located in these hubs for occasional meetings and team collaboration, we are open to remote team members who can travel periodically if needed.
Expectations (In this role, you will):
Develop Risk & Support strategies, partnering with internal teams, to strengthen network and improve experience for drivers and merchants
Identify, own and publish operational OKRs and KPIs which will drive positive engagement and usage across Mudflap
Leverage data and analysis to develop growth strategies and execution plans to optimize Mudflap functions and address business problems
Develop and lead GTM program for new product lines or initiatives, including managing external vendor relationships, evaluating business applications, and developing processes for onboarding and support
Lead cross-functional teams to scale operations, optimize organizational structures, and improve operational workflows and processes
Assess current tools and systems to identify operational gaps. Determine need for new tools and lead their implementation
Present recommendations and results to management and key decision-makers
Experience (What we look for):
4+ years of experience in tech operations, project manager, and/or Business Analytic roles
Analytical skills: you can develop actionable insights from complex data. You have experience with data analysis, data manipulation, and data visualization tools. You are highly proficient in Excel/Sheets and SQL. Experience with Tableau, Python or similar is a plus
Process Champion: you have experience implementing end-to-end workflows and processes from scratch for new, future products and existing operations
Operations-minded: you find a way to get the function done and prioritizes streamlining and improving processes
Collaboration: you are a strong cross-functional leader, effective at managing multiple internal and external teams towards business goals
Communication skills: you can communicate complicated insights and arguments both verbally and in writing

The base salary range for this role is $137,000 - $185,000. This information reflects a base salary range for this position based on current market data, which may be subject to change as new market data becomes available. The candidate's skills, experience, and other relevant factors will determine the exact compensation. This position may also be eligible for additional incentives such as equity awards or short-term incentives.
