PUBLIC RELATIONS SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE (Tri-state Area)

We’re looking for an SAE on our Financial Services team. This team works with companies at all stages including asset managers, banks, fintech companies, and beyond. The right candidate is financially astute and economically literate, possessing an understanding of the markets and how volatility plays into PR strategy.
This person will have media “friendlies” and go-to’s at business outlets, trade and national outlets, and will have contacts spanning online, print, broadcast, and more. Writing is also important, and this person knows how to assemble PR documents quickly and with extreme attention to detail. They will also be confident in guiding junior team members.

Responsibilities:
-
Manage 5 client accounts at once, directly facilitating client comms
-
Day-to-day program involvement, including drafting & reviewing press releases, pitches, etc
-
Substantial media relationships
-
Developing first draft of strategic plan
-
Ideation of strategy and tactical execution
-
Ability to write bylines and/or press releases
-
Review of status reports / forecast / recaps to be provided to senior leadership
-
Cultivate and manage junior staff – AAE-AE level
-
Run one account with light supervision
Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s Degree
-
Prior PR agency experience 3-5 years’ experience
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills
-
Team player with ability to take the lead on relevant projects
