Job Description

The Director of Development role will play a key role in fulfilling our objectives, which require raising more than $250M over the next 5 years. This role will focus on building long-term relationships with supporters and prospects who believe in our mission and desire to expand the message of the gospel throughout the world through the reach of The Chosen. Build and maintain a portfolio of 125 major gift supporters and identified prospects with the goal of securing five- to six-figure+ gifts from fans, foundations, and individuals/families. Meet annual production goals to raise $3M in major gifts through individuals, organizations, and foundations. Develop a strategy to grow the base of our major and principal givers. Establish an intentional, donor-centric “moves management” solicitation strategy. Identify donors among high-net worth families, Christian business leaders, family foundations, and DAF stewards. Develop a travel and meeting strategy to engage supporters. Serve as an ambassador of Come and See at events and meetings.

Job Requirements

  • 7-10 years of direct major gift solicitation experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly relational and ability to interact with a wide diversity of supporters.
  • Good listener, a team player, and a self-starter with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift approximately 15-20 pounds.
  • Ability to hear phone calls and clearly communicate verbally.
