Job Description
Role Description
This position supports H+H's outreach and calling campaigns by engaging directly with audience members and supporters by phone. Depending on the season, the role includes fundraising, subscription sales, and occasional box office support. Paid training is provided, and representatives work as part of a collaborative, supportive team.
- Conducting outbound calls for subscription sales during the telesales campaign (typically April/May through November)
- Conducting outbound calls for fundraising during the telefunding campaign (typically November through March/April)
- Occasionally providing box office support, answering incoming patron calls as needed; box office hours vary by concert schedule and may be included in or added to campaign hours
- Speaking knowledgeably and comfortably about H+H's concerts, programs, and audience benefits
- Using web-based calling tools and CRM software to document patron interactions accurately
- Participating in team meetings and collaborating with fellow callers and H+H staff
Qualifications
- Knowledge of and appreciation for Baroque and Classical music
- Familiarity with the performing arts, particularly in Boston
- Comfort speaking with people on the telephone and engaging in thoughtful conversation
- Experience in sales, fundraising, and/or customer service is preferred
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, preferably Tessitura
- Strong overall computer skills, including comfort using web-based applications and Google Workspace
- Reliable internet connection and ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Candidates who are comfortable on the phone and enjoy speaking about music are encouraged to apply, even if they have not previously worked in fundraising or sales
- Training is provided
Requirements
- Fully remote, part-time position
- Flexible schedule; hours may vary week to week
- A minimum commitment of approximately 10 hours per week is required, typically structured as three shifts per week
- Additional shifts may be available based on campaign needs and individual availability, with the opportunity to work up to approximately 20 hours per week (up to six shifts)
- Shifts include a mix of weekday daytime and evening hours, with occasional optional weekend shifts available
- Compensation includes a base hourly rate, plus commission
